About the Property

The East Cottage features rough cut custom oak hardwood floors that run throughout the open main level. The main floor opens to the lake, with a lake view of almost full glass provided by 3 matching sets of 6 foot wide sliding glass doors. At ground level, all three sliding glass doors access a full deck attached to the entire front side of the cottage. The deck sits just a couple feet above the water level for excellent views and easy mobility for all ages.

Granite kitchen counter tops and breakfast bar seating in the kitchen serves small groups, plus there is a separate dining table for four people inside. Additionally, dine outside on the deck’s hand-set stone table with 6 comfortable, swivel patio chairs. The kitchen’s new Whirlpool stainless appliances include a side-by-side refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher and natural gas stove top and oven.

The main level features a gas fireplace, full couch with a lake view, chairs, center ottomans with storage inside, and a 32” flat screen TV. The main floor master bedroom includes a queen bed, 42” flat screen TV and a bathroom en suite with a custom glass door walk-in shower. Also, on the main level, the powder room includes full size, front-loading laundry washer and dryer.

Besides the finest of amenities inside, bonus outdoor toys are included in the rental. In Spring and Summer, a kayak and a stand up paddle board are included and stored on the brand new DH Dock that is shared by the two matching cottages. The dock includes a sturdy 7-step staircase with a hand rail into the water for safe fun for all ages. For those bringing your own boat, you will love tying off conveniently to the dock, which is included in the rental. Every dock post is covered with a Brock Dock pole cover to reduce the risk of damage to your boat when tied up. A boat access and parking area for your boat trailer is just 100 feet away. Alternatively, a 2013 Premier pontoon with 60 HP Four Stroke Yamaha is located on the dock and can be rented for additional easy, lake fun ($375 for full day and $300 for half day).

In addition to having the premier area golf courses a few miles away, the Cottages are located on the best point on the lake. The premier swimming spot on Squaw Point is only a few hundred yards away. Ernie’s on Gull lakeside restaurant is 100 feet away with a classic vacation vibe and outdoor amenities, like a kid’s playground, sand volleyball courts, and easy, good meals. Brainerd International Raceway, Maddens, Craguns, The Legacy Golf Course and even Mini-Golf are all within a few miles.

In Autumn, create your own fall colors tours via the local trails, parks, or roads and, of course, the lake tours are amazing. Hunters know that Gull Lake’s best waterfowl hunting is just across the bay and down the point. A short drive north provides upland hunting and sporting clays at Hunts Point Preserve or trap and range shooting at the Lakeshore Conservation Club. Endless upland, small game and deer hunting is just a few miles to the west in the Pillsbury State Forest and on miles of public land.

For winter fun, snowmobilers love the level lake access and can drive right up to the front door for easy snowmobile access to the groomed trail that crosses Gull Lake just in front of the cottage. Skiers love the trails and Mount Ski Gull, which is in view just across the lake. Ice fishing house rental is available for fishing out front of the Cottage on main Gull Lake.
